It’s the one thing everyone uses, and there’s a steady supply of new varieties coming out. It might be confusing to figure out which laundry soap powder is the most effective because they all promise to do the same things. This is why we subject them to a battery of tests here in our lab. To determine the efficacy of various soap powders, we first test them on swatches of cotton, polyester, and blended fabrics that have been stained with 20 different common but stubborn stains, such as blood and ink. White t-shirts and bedding washed in this Tide showed improved whiteness in our own home tests, and no additional bleach was required. These extra-large Power Pods (which contain the equivalent of two regular Pods’ worth of cleaning ingredients) did a fantastic job of removing stains from our Lab test swatches, making them an excellent option for households with frequent, large loads of laundry.
